The best of Air Freshners

From sprays and candles to plug-ins we all are in search of something to make our homes a little fresher. I started with the candles, all different types, all different sizes. I tried to put the same smell in every room. Tried to have them all lite at the same time. They weren't that helpful. I moved on to the sprays. The ones that claim to stop the smell where it starts. You know the ones, they claim to kill the bacteria that causes the smell. Well their pretty good for a quick solution. If the bathroom smells, or a dirty diaper made the whole room cringe. But I wanted a fresh scent every morning when I woke up and when I came home from work. I am a little cheap, so nothing fancy was going to be bought, but when I started looking for plugs, and Air Wick warmer caught my eye. You do need to buy the warmer separate from the scents, but the plug-in warmer was only 74 CENTS! So I got three!! I chose a calming scent and half expected the liquid to be gone in the morning. No such luck, just a hint of freshener-perfect! I have one in the foyer downstairs, and one in the living room. The third is just a back up for now but can't say money wasted this time. I finally found my solution for the house that isn't always perfectly clean :)

Oh Monday

What a monday Ive had! After waking up to ants all over my night stand I arrived at works with ants all over the side of my desk. WHAT A MONDAY! I was thinking about my new huge coffee cup before I even got to work. Im in my blues-an Air Force formal uniform thats uncomfortably complete with a skirt and thigh highs-and trying to clean up ants under and around my desk. Why my desk? Why only my desk? Who knows, but their now gone and I have a full cup of coffee. Now I check my email and I have a notice to shut off my electricity and an overdue credit card that will be sent to my commander if I don't pay by yesterday. *Big swig of coffee* I tried to pay the Credit Card but you can only pay with a routing number and I left my checks at home. The electric company wants $400 and well, if I had that kind of money I wouldn't be getting their notices! *Big swig of coffee* My only girlfriend texts me to come out to lunch, but I have someone on the phone asking me questions I know nothing about. When lunch finally comes, she offers me a black and mild. I had quit for a long time, but what the heck? It is free! So we stop at the only fast food place on base, Burger King, but instead of my usual dollar salad I order a Whopper meal. As soon as I get back to the office I realize I have an appointment in 10mins. Good thing I'm across from the hospital. My heart is normal, first good news of the day! Now I'm ready to go home, but I need to call my landlord and ask if I can extend one more month; a conversation I've been putting off for weeks. She wants it in writing of course and I still haven't sent that email. At the end of the day I come home to a baby just awaken, a husband wanting quality time, an article that need to be finished and dinner that needs to be made. Does this madness ever end? I must admit that as I sit here with my daughter getting into everything that shes not supposed to, its all worth it when I see her smile. Shoot, I'd repeat the whole miserable day for a giggle. As much as people warned me that a baby would change my life, they never told me about the joys you find in the little things.
Well, Ive been doing some shopping with other blogs, and I feel that mine does not compare. They all look so cool and have structure and point. I have so much on my mind I don't know where to start. Through all my searching I have found that everyone has in them some type of passion. Something that will pull them no matter how much they reject it, pull them to their money making destination. I hope mine is one that makes lots of money. But who doesn't! And why does it seem that when you are broke you think of everything that you want? And who is it that wins all those sweepstakes and lotterys? Cuz I've tried and I can't even make it to the finalist group! But I guess for now I'll get back to my daughter and the burgers I made last night. Some Seasoning Salt, Garlic powder, Chopped Onions and a little bit of chili powder. My family likes them more then fast food! Especially if you add some bacon, cheese and bbq sauce! Well, thats it for now, my daughter is demanding my attention so I guess my uniform will get ironed tomorrow. **sigh**

Sunday Night

I want some pancetta. Ya know whats also good? Crack on a stick. Okay, not really the drug but you'll be addicted when you taste them. Wrap a piece of bacon around a piece of chicken that has been cut into about a one inch square. Put a toothpick in it to hold the bacon around the chicken. Dip the piece in a mixture of brown sugar with some chili powder. The more chili powder the spicier. Then cook till chicken is almost done and broil the last few minutes to make the bacon crispier. There you have it, the best party snack ever!

UGH!

So I'm writing an article for money...everythings going great. The save button turns grey and now I can't click save! So I take the chance and move to a different part of the article. Well it looked like the previous part saved. I come back to it and NO!! Over 100 words lost to cyberspace. I don't understand? I wanted to save, I really did! How does the button 'save' NOT WORK? I guess nothings 100% huh? Shoot, even birth control is only 99.9% effective(so they say) Wonder what the stats are on 'save?' There should be a few free passes given to every computer user for when they loose all their work. It should be a pass to get what they were working for. An 'A' on that paper, or my money for the lost article. Can we just use the honor system here? UGH!

Dear God,

Work was boring, good thing I got to leave early. Wanna know the honest truth? Probably not so I think to not tell. . .but my social-on anti-depressent self can't hold it in. My first shirt (military term for Sgt who is the go between to my commander(whos the big whig)), let me down. He told me I would be out of the military on my way home by the end of the month. I doubley asked because once I give 30 days. ..well, thats pretty in stone. Turns out I have one week left and haven't heard any new news from him. I haven't received orders and paying another months rent is going to take away from paying my bills. Not to mention both my cars need some TLC. I should have known not to depend on him. By giving my 30 days I put ALOT of trust in his word. I feel stupid for trusting in a male, yet again. God's a male though, right? And maybe he's telling me that I should only trust in him. Okay, so umm, God-When should I give my 30 days? (and can the Lions please win a game this year?) I'm trying to be a strong a woman, but I really don't feel that I fit the bill. Lord, I pray for knowledge and a way to make money. Not that you will just give them to me, but that you can make me see where I have gone wrong and learn from it. That I can search the right networks and work towards the right job. PLEASE HELP ME LORD!

Madden 2010

This years Madden already has a story to tell. From puttin money down the first time EVER to my PlayStation breaking two days before madden came out, its been interesting to say the least. This year has quite a few differences that I donno if I like yet.
One of the differences is that you get to fight for a fumble, but it seems like they happen more often now. Theres a pile up and your screen tells you to press one of four buttons repeatedly-and the button changes. Seemed kinda cool at first, you get a chance to recover and its not all left to the computer. On the other hand, its alot of work and energy to put into a PS3 game-this isn't Wii!!
I remember in college many different online franchises competing. It was a highly stressed part of the game. You think madden the game makes enough money each year. Guess not, because this year they got greedy. To play an online franchise you have to pay $9.99. Thats right folks, this is no longer a free part of the game! Whats next?! Bidding for a fumble? Paying to play online? I'm very disappointed with this 'option,' especially considering the recession!
Personally, my strength in a game is precision passing and a user catch. For some reason this is a little harder. The passing accuracy of some great QB's (Vick, Favre) are not that great. Some people don't know the secret to a user catch. Press 'O' right before the completion and then hold triangle and L1. Works almost every time! Well...in madden 09 it did.
The game in a whole is much more realistic. The movements, the uniforms, your handle and chance for certain plays that is no longer left to the computer. It all is a positive look for Madden--wonder what they'll come up with next?

Quick Dinner

So first I need to share a GREAT real quick meal-or just lunch. Put about two pieces of cut up bacon in a pan on the stove. Let it quick brown (not all the way through yet) and add about 1/2lb of ground beef. Add seasoning and chopped onion to your desire. While that cooks unwrap a (brand name pillsbury or generic if cheaper) refrigerated crescent rolls. Break them apart to make four rectangles and press the diagonal cut together to strenthen it. With a little water and a quick swipe of a rolling pin they stay pretty well. Cut 4 tomato slices and sepretely beat an egg to set aside. The meat should be done by now and can be drained. Transfer the dough to a cookie sheet and put a nice pile of meat on one end of the dough. Add a slice of tomato, some extra onion if you like and maybe a little mustard too! (or bbq sauce). Fold the dough over your pile and use a fork to stab the ends closed. Brush each closed crescent with some egg and bake at 375 for 10-15 mins, or until the ends get light brown. DELICIOUS! Everyone will ask for more and if you take one to work to reheat, there will be jealousy! :)

Home alone on Wednesday- I don't understand how anyone has money these days. I think everyone is in debt, but the people who have really nice things are just allowed more debt from the banks. My audi is in the shop and needs a new intake manifold?! and of course no one can work on an audi, like its foreign or something! So now I'm stuck driving the Grand Am in blistering heat-with no AC!! If thats not bad enough why did the front light just pop out. Yup, it was dragging as I was driving. Miraculously(if thats a word) the cords were still all connected so with some tape it 'lights.' Not to mention I haven't bought a new pair of jeans since before TJ was born! UGH! Flowers-thats what always makes me feel better. Or a new pair of shoes I shouldn't buy, but do you know Charlotte Russe offers the second pair for $10?! AND I GET A MILITARY DISCOUNT! I still need to replace all the shoes the dog ate. Speaking of which anyone wanna buy a bully for $1500? okay okay kinda kidding-but TJ's up so I g2g!

Survived Another Monday

Work went by fast enough. My cousing is getting her gallbladder removed, my grandma got a pacemaker, and my aunt found out she has diabeties. Fabulous. My palm pre doesn't record video and my article got deleted from Brighthub.com. But at least the Lions won and Stafford looks promising. Can we please put out a receiver that hasn't been cut by everyone else and can catch? YEAH FOR PRESEASON (and less frickin baseball!!)
