Im pretty lazy, but the other day I was really upset so I decided to go running. My phone plays music so I use that instead of an iPod. Why am I telling you this detail? Well I get a little ways from home and it starts to rain. I have no insurance on my phone. What the piss?!! So I start to turn around and the rain stops giving way to a beautiful and inpirational rainbow. I decided to run through the ins and outs of the subdivisons around the house in case it decided to pour again. The rainbow struck me with so much beauty and surprise that I had to stop and take a picture. It makes me reflect about alot of things. First, when I am weak you are strong. I pray alot when I run because I'm lazy, have asthma and don't really like to run. Second I'm broke and when I run I don't have the energy to think about my problems while praying and breathing. Anyways, I thank God for my family and wonder how people with money arent happy!

Nails and Football

WHOO HOO!! Mick Vick!! *sigh* Im so happy football season is back. Im not a big fan of the cooler weather so I tend to watch from home while doing my nails and drinking. Im not even gonna start on poor Mike Vick (YES I SAID POOR!) and what he woulda got if he only commited manslaughter. . .but w/e. Happy times ahead with the lions new quarter back Stafford. Happy he's gettin playing time with our one good receiver lol. and happy my nails finally can get done :) The only problem I have is that I have the NFL network, I have sunday ticket. . .but I still don't get some lions games! Apparently if they don't sell out an hour before the game they black it out. So I'm supposed to go down to the areana and if their not sold out I get a ticket. If they are go back home? Or call an hour ahead of time so I know if I need to take a drive this game? Ridiculous. . .punishment for the city for not buying tickets to the 0-16 Lions. . .smart way to encourage us. Enough beef, Vick is on I guess that old guy too ;)

New great recipe

I found another great one!! This a great recipe to use on the fly to entertain and change up to whatever you fancy. The staple ingredient is actually a refrigerated pie crust. I cooked up some chicken, sheredded it, added some mayo, chopped celery and onion. Then you use a cookie dough cutter to make about 3in circles in the pie crust. You guessed it, put a heaping tablespoon of your unique mixture into the middle of the cut crust. Finger a little water around the edges, fold um over and use a fork to make them stick together. Place your cute little pockets on a greasked cookie sheet and cook for about 15 mins. You can fill with eggs and bacon, chicken and red pepper, hamburger and bacon, whatever your style. The fork makes the edges look all fancy and the pie crust gets just crispy enough that people think you spent hard hours in the kitchen. ;) They are my cheap pot-luck dish! hehe

Money thoughts

With all the talking about our economy and the high gas prices you can't help but wonder; Are we going to inflate ourselves broke? Gas hasn't changed much in the past 2 years, so why are we paying more then double? Movie theaters haven't added anything to their establishments so why are we paying double for our movies too? I understand my electric bill going up after I've been married and have a baby, but thats about all I seem to understand. You can explain all the politics you want, but I think it comes down to plain greed. The average working man (or woman!) trying to make enough money to match their neighbors inflation. I'll admit my savings seems to be going to my broken down cars and overpriced food and diapers. Why do I have to pay more for less diapers as my daughter grows? Shouldn't either the food or the diapers get cheaper so I can at least break even? As I watch TV and dream about what I would do with more money I realize it would still be the same day to day regimen, but with maybe a little more baby toys :)

The best of Air Freshners

From sprays and candles to plug-ins we all are in search of something to make our homes a little fresher. I started with the candles, all different types, all different sizes. I tried to put the same smell in every room. Tried to have them all lite at the same time. They weren't that helpful. I moved on to the sprays. The ones that claim to stop the smell where it starts. You know the ones, they claim to kill the bacteria that causes the smell. Well their pretty good for a quick solution. If the bathroom smells, or a dirty diaper made the whole room cringe. But I wanted a fresh scent every morning when I woke up and when I came home from work. I am a little cheap, so nothing fancy was going to be bought, but when I started looking for plugs, and Air Wick warmer caught my eye. You do need to buy the warmer separate from the scents, but the plug-in warmer was only 74 CENTS! So I got three!! I chose a calming scent and half expected the liquid to be gone in the morning. No such luck, just a hint of freshener-perfect! I have one in the foyer downstairs, and one in the living room. The third is just a back up for now but can't say money wasted this time. I finally found my solution for the house that isn't always perfectly clean :)

Oh Monday

What a monday Ive had! After waking up to ants all over my night stand I arrived at works with ants all over the side of my desk. WHAT A MONDAY! I was thinking about my new huge coffee cup before I even got to work. Im in my blues-an Air Force formal uniform thats uncomfortably complete with a skirt and thigh highs-and trying to clean up ants under and around my desk. Why my desk? Why only my desk? Who knows, but their now gone and I have a full cup of coffee. Now I check my email and I have a notice to shut off my electricity and an overdue credit card that will be sent to my commander if I don't pay by yesterday. *Big swig of coffee* I tried to pay the Credit Card but you can only pay with a routing number and I left my checks at home. The electric company wants $400 and well, if I had that kind of money I wouldn't be getting their notices! *Big swig of coffee* My only girlfriend texts me to come out to lunch, but I have someone on the phone asking me questions I know nothing about. When lunch finally comes, she offers me a black and mild. I had quit for a long time, but what the heck? It is free! So we stop at the only fast food place on base, Burger King, but instead of my usual dollar salad I order a Whopper meal. As soon as I get back to the office I realize I have an appointment in 10mins. Good thing I'm across from the hospital. My heart is normal, first good news of the day! Now I'm ready to go home, but I need to call my landlord and ask if I can extend one more month; a conversation I've been putting off for weeks. She wants it in writing of course and I still haven't sent that email. At the end of the day I come home to a baby just awaken, a husband wanting quality time, an article that need to be finished and dinner that needs to be made. Does this madness ever end? I must admit that as I sit here with my daughter getting into everything that shes not supposed to, its all worth it when I see her smile. Shoot, I'd repeat the whole miserable day for a giggle. As much as people warned me that a baby would change my life, they never told me about the joys you find in the little things.
Well, Ive been doing some shopping with other blogs, and I feel that mine does not compare. They all look so cool and have structure and point. I have so much on my mind I don't know where to start. Through all my searching I have found that everyone has in them some type of passion. Something that will pull them no matter how much they reject it, pull them to their money making destination. I hope mine is one that makes lots of money. But who doesn't! And why does it seem that when you are broke you think of everything that you want? And who is it that wins all those sweepstakes and lotterys? Cuz I've tried and I can't even make it to the finalist group! But I guess for now I'll get back to my daughter and the burgers I made last night. Some Seasoning Salt, Garlic powder, Chopped Onions and a little bit of chili powder. My family likes them more then fast food! Especially if you add some bacon, cheese and bbq sauce! Well, thats it for now, my daughter is demanding my attention so I guess my uniform will get ironed tomorrow. **sigh**

Sunday Night

I want some pancetta. Ya know whats also good? Crack on a stick. Okay, not really the drug but you'll be addicted when you taste them. Wrap a piece of bacon around a piece of chicken that has been cut into about a one inch square. Put a toothpick in it to hold the bacon around the chicken. Dip the piece in a mixture of brown sugar with some chili powder. The more chili powder the spicier. Then cook till chicken is almost done and broil the last few minutes to make the bacon crispier. There you have it, the best party snack ever!

UGH!

So I'm writing an article for money...everythings going great. The save button turns grey and now I can't click save! So I take the chance and move to a different part of the article. Well it looked like the previous part saved. I come back to it and NO!! Over 100 words lost to cyberspace. I don't understand? I wanted to save, I really did! How does the button 'save' NOT WORK? I guess nothings 100% huh? Shoot, even birth control is only 99.9% effective(so they say) Wonder what the stats are on 'save?' There should be a few free passes given to every computer user for when they loose all their work. It should be a pass to get what they were working for. An 'A' on that paper, or my money for the lost article. Can we just use the honor system here? UGH!
